How to Manage Your Password
About Password Manager
Password Manager is a self-service password reset tool. You can access this tool at https://sspr.txhhsc.txnet.state.tx.us/PMUser.
Access the Password Manager, enter your user name, then click OK.
Important!
Your user name is your email address. If you do not know your email, you can also log in using your domain\username.
- HHSC staff use “txhhsc\username”
- DSHS staff use “dshs\username”
- Staff that transitioned to HHSC from:
- DADS use “dads\username”
- DSHS use “dshs\username”
- WIC use “wic\username”
- LAB use “lab\username”
- DSHSRATL use “dshsratl\username”
- For WIC, LAB and DSHS Rational users, if you wish to reset your email account password, please enter your email address.
On the Home page, click My Questions and Answers Profile.
Enter your network password. Your network password is the password that you use to sign into your computer, access your email, and/or sign into Microsoft 365. Click Next when you are ready.
Read the policy requirements, then select your security questions and answer them. These security questions will be used to manage and reset your password when needed.
Click Next when you are ready.
The next page confirms that you have successfully created or updated your My Questions and Answers profile.
Open Password Manager and enter your email or domain/login, then click OK.
On the Home page, click Manage My Passwords.
Enter new password and click Next to proceed.
The next page confirms that you have successfully changed your password.
For Window 10 users : On the Windows sign-in screen, click Sign-In Options (a), then the white icon key (b), then Please Click Here To Reset Your Password (c).
For Windows 7 users: Click Forgot My Password on the login page.
Enter your email address or network user name (domain\user name) and click OK.
On the Home page, click Forgot My Password.
Answer the security questions and click Next.
Read the password policy and enter your new password in the fields provided. Click Next when you are ready.
The next page confirms that you have successfully changed your password.
For Windows 10 users, click the key icon to return to the login screen.
